NSCRT Registration Fees
The NSCRT licensing year runs from April 1st to March 31st. A non-refundable $75 application fee
is required for new applicants - see exemptions below.

Annual Active-Practicing License Fee |
$650 annually
New member fees are prorated at $54/month for remaining months of licensing year *RTs returning to NS or members who allowed their license to lapse do not qualify for the pro-rated fees. |
License renewal opens the beginning of February and must be completed by March 15th to avoid penalty. Once approved, license fees are non-refundable. |
Annual Non-Practicing License Fee | $75 (The non-practicing license category will no longer be an option as of November 1, 2025. | License renewal opens the beginning of February and must be completed by March 15th to avoid penalty. Once approved, license fees are non-refundable. |
Initial applicants | $75 | Application fee. Non-refundable. (Waived for applicants currently licensed in another regulated Canadian jurisdiction) |
Past deadline renewal fee | $50 | Members who do not renew prior to the March 15th deadline will be responsible for an additional processing fee. |
Reinstatement fee | $100 | Members who let their licence expire and reapply for licensure within the same fiscal year will be subject to a reinstatement fee in addition to the annual license fee. |
All fees are payable in Canadian funds. Do NOT submit payment until all eligibility requirements have been met and the Registrar confirms payment amount. Payments can be made by one of the following methods:
- By credit card when application submitted online (preferred)
- Cheque payable to NSCRT (must be received prior to the March 15 deadline)
- Money order payable to NSCRT
